And as the news of DVD-RAM's spread, people will hold-off on another VCR purchase and wait for the recordable DVR (sort of like what is beginning to happen with analog TV sales - people will purchase HDTV next). Some copyright law review. It's not "illegal" to record digitally anything as long as the content has no disclaimer to the contrary.
