Hi CB, I agree absolutely that hate poisons the mind and incapacitates positive action. However, we must not ignore hate as a continuing driving force in regional geopolitics and political economics, especially in Asia.

Japanese political entities do not want this for their own population, and in fact want them to believe otherwise so that re-arming can begin. This, at least, is the common belief in Japan and in Asia ex-Japan. Perception is at times more important than reality, for the few seconds in history that matter to the outcome.
