That's insane. Kim Jong il would know he's got one shot and then he is dead, whether Canada participates in the US NMD program or not. I don't seem him firing off a weapon unless he is truly insane, and then it would be far more likely to be aimed at Hawaii or Japan or California than Vancouver.

I disagree with a categorical statement like this, but agree Canada is danger of increasingly looking like a US policy poodle at heel.

Since I am completely at odds with US foreign policy (not to mention domestic policies in particular energy policy) you won't find me seeking to get closer to the US in our foreign policies.

Being a critic of US policy is not a popular stance for a "conservative" to take, I'll grant you, but someone has to speak up since too many vote along party lines without using their brains first.
