Tony, since I used to work for a few of the "potential" SCSI companies you mentiond I must say that the reason ADPT disapointed is NOT SCSI COPMETETION. NEC is using Adaptec products; ASUS has about zero sales; Future Domain was bought by Adaptec two years ago and Bus Logic HBA engineers were assigned to other projects due to "booming sales". <g> What could be happening other than lousy high tech environment fueled mostly by no real life need for Intel's latest products (i.e. P-II) is a shift to SCSI on the Motherboard which still means increased unit count to Adaptec but reduced revenue.
