<<< Women, on the other hand, are more co-operative than men... When it's just women together, we work for the good of the whole. It's the darndest thing, but that's the way it is. You can see it on this thread, I am sure you have noticed.>>>
Cobe, I think, but am not positive, you are serious in this statement. It's the "on this thread" part that makes me think you may be joking.
I know I've read of that tendency of women to be more cooperative than men, and maybe "if it's just women together," it's true, but I have never noted it by personal observation; and haven't you just seen SO many situations in which women behave just like those other ones, that you feel some doubt about those findings yourself?
On this thread, the only one whom I've observed deserving the name of Woman, if Woman's is the soul you describe, is penni, and she isn't really a human being, is my opinion, but rather is a supernatural entity. No, no, I just realized, my new position is that I am penni, I have two handles, yes, that's it, I just pretend to be this contentious bitch to throw you all off the scent and keep my true identity, Rambi, a secret. [Note to self: Must think of a msg to post under my handle of Rambi that will make it look as though we are not the same person. Must be subtle.]
Do you truly believe the 'findings' that women are more 'cooperative'?
BeLIEVE me, I know how unpermitted it is to say this: I have not observed this to be true. My observation is that it is untrue. And on this thread? It's true that FT doesn't 'compromise,' but he simply doesn't recognize that he's wrong! It's a form of dyslexia, only with ideas, I'm convinced. Which he disguises with humor. And he does throw the curve off, couldn't we leave him out of it? If we leave penni off and FT off, we get a normal curve of cooperativeness on this thread; and on that, I see no sex difference here any more than I have seen them in the world I inhabit.
I see differences in the types and styles of competitiveness and cooperativeness, though, and I believe that the type or style of competitiveness rather than the degree or quantity of it is sexually-based, and explains much about achievement, or arenas of achievement. |
