Ponzi schemes are not only associated with madoff in this go-round. A buddy of mine was let go from a fin serve company that was shut down by the feds for creating an REIT ponzi scheme. I have heard about four or five different schemes that are ponzi in nature. Reason not in the news more is the scale of the madoff fraud.
