I disagree. I don't think Fundamentalist Radicalism is growing in the ME any more than the radical right is growing in this country. If it were, bin Laden would be in charge of his own country by now. I think what's happening is that in recent years, the average American has become aware that FR exists thanks to 9/11 and then the media has fueled the perception and exaggerated it. After all, radicals tend to be very loud....much louder than their actual numbers.
