Although I work for Informix (and do not try to hide it), I will follow (and possibly invest in) competitors. After all, if the DB market is growing in the 30-40% annual range, that means that there should be several companies that should be sharing in this growth. It is a reasonable way to spread risk, rather than just investing all my eggs in one basket. BTW, if you think I am just anti-Oracle, you might read some of my recent posts on the Microsoft thread.
