BCB, you never cease to amaze me-lol.

Let me explain this to you as I was the one who did it. Before I wrote the state Emergency medical services plan(EMS) in 1974/5? and put the state program together there was no EMS program. There was almost nothing.

So outside of Anchorage, EMS was virtually non existent. There was no statewide training of emergency medical technicians (EMT's), there was no system, there was no triaging.

1/2 the time in most areas the local fisherman might come get you eventually and put you in the back seat of a car, or truck and everyone hoped they got you somewhere were someone knew something-lol; and few had any idea how to stabilize a patient. And there certainly was no EMS system or 911. All of that was created with tax dollars. All of it!!

Stabilizing the patient is the very first thing one has to do. That requries training. We now have thousands of EMT's throughout the state, even in the smallest villages and almost all firemen and policmen are now trained to the EMT 1 level at least.

Alaska now has one of the most sophisticated emergency medical systems in the world, comprisng the 15 components of an EMS system from accessing the patient to out patient, training, communications, etc.

There was almost nothing prior to 1976/7.

That was all done with tax dollars BCB. How can you know so little about everything given all of your debating-lol? You need to learn to listen Bob-lol.

Good grief-lol.
