Tom - Regarding the advertising vs. price reduction :

I think Ken and the other pessimistic posters are pretty much correct. Sales of Zip to those who need removable storage have leveled and dramatic growth from that sector just won't be there. I believe that the advertising campaign will position the Zip as not just a removable storage device, but - as Michael C. keeps pointing out - a consumer product.

The reason I have never bought a Zip is not that it costs too much at $129, but that I don't know what I would do with it. When Buz is actually available and I feel confident that I'll be able to easily use a Zip for audio and video recording and playback, I'll buy one. Until then, even at $79 I wouldn't be a consumer.
