I agree with you. You do know what people-at the core- you would like. I think the net frequently allows you to see the center of a person first. The part that you might get to know after knowing someone for weeks in 3d- you can find out immediately on the net. A bit of a timesaver isn't it?

But in 3d the consequences for knowing that core are more dangerous. So we dance around, and get general ideas of people, and never advance our relationships with some people- who seem to be trending towards showing us a core we do not like. In seems to me to facilitate society that we do not know too much about all the people around us. after all- if you find a person repellent on the net you can choose not to click on them- but if you find out your neighbor is repellent you still have to see the guy everyday. Too bad 3d doesn't have a browsemaster, eh?
