I agree. I am working hard to get our debt to zero. Maybe next year maybe not. I want to turn 62 with zero debt and at least a half of mill to a mill in savings. Not a lot but I am almost there (Half way) and have 7 years to go. Now with some luck on these gold stocks (which was not here in 2005) in 2006 that goal may be met early.

Working in the home loan business makes me think all of us are knuckle heads or there are a lot of people with high debt service that will get papered over or as JM says they will muddle through.
