Repubs are in charge now. They must accept the blame. If the country were going well, they'd take the credit. So they must accept the blame too. Basically we're in a restless, unhappy, angry insecure uptight mood as a country now. I believe the root cause is corruption and dishonesty which comes down from the very top. Also the assault on our liberties by the religious right. The Bushies needed to lie and scare people to win the elections, so they set a very bad example. Kerry may have lost, but he never once lied and tried to manipulate the people. Sadly, it's often the most dishonest politicians who win. But we all have to get together and change that. Starting with investigating Tom Delay and making him pay. From now on let's make sure honesty gets rewarded and dishonesty punished. That alone will cure many of our current ills.
