Skeeter, now, please explain to this thread how start up costs reduced pc sales by a WHOPPING 10% (you better hope this is in $$$ and not in units!)? we're all ears... You mean that you didn't know! It was all part of Micron's "Japanese Now" program, whereby, on average, their sales people spent four hours a day in Japanese language classes and thus weren't available to pick up customer calls. Ditto for the marketing group which explains why Micron hasn't gotten around to offering a sub $1,000 box yet. I caught on to this when I called their 1-800 sales number last month and the guy mistakenly answered in Japanese!!! Heck, they must have been really intensive classes because for the first five minutes after the rep started talking english he couldn't quite pronounce his 'L's right.
