I'm no longer in Austin; spent about a week there. I'm back in Jersey.

But I can now highly recommend the Southside Meat Market in Elgin for one of the better Texas BBQs I've ever eaten. Great, greasy stuff. If you plan to go, be sure to get there early. I was there around 11 on a Wednesday, by 11:30 the line was long.

And Maude's in Austin has nice TexMex. Not the best ever; but well worth a visit if one is already in Austin.
