Snerd,

I bought 1000 shares @ $3 but my "used $ window" in my software said I had used $6000. Almost thought I had bought 2000 shares by mistake. I called the broker to find out that the $6000 represented the power of my cash and the 2 for 1 margin, hence $6000 not available to trade with. It is very confusing, I agree.
