Doesn't sound as though Palin ask that a specific book be banned? According to this article Palin ask a specific question regarding the policy of the library.

If the Madame librarian has official requests in writing for removal of a book from their shelves, then she should lay the facts out and not continue to participate in inuendos and character assassination of Mrs. Palin .
