Today is a great day in the history of this nation. In 150 years, we have gone from a nation of slave owners of black men, women and children to electing a leader who is black. Whether you are liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican, Libertarian or Independent, you should feel a great sense of pride. Very few nations have been able to make such a successful transformation. It is a testament to the American democracy and the enlightenment of its people that this change was possible. And all of us in our own small way have contributed to this change. In light of this accomplishment, it is my intention to disparage no one on this thread during the entirety of this historic day. That will be no easy feat given the nature of this thread........for the day will be long and the temptation great......and I may have to go offline for long periods, but I am committed to this goal. And fellow citizens [that includes you meatball].....be proud....our greatness is not always evident but in the end, it manages to shine through......brightly. USA, USA, USA...........
