Actually today, mind you, was the only major powder storm that I didn't ski at Homewood (due to imminent tax day activities). I caught all the rest. They all were excellent. Homewood just doesn't get skied out so its this old powderhound's first choice. Last Tuesday, I was skiing the Chutes at Slide. Wow! Those are some steep steeps! Pretty excellent, the Reno-ites finally have a mountain of their own that measures up. Tuesday we'll be climbing from the Echo Lake snowpark up the ridge, then down through Echo Lakes (this is just off the summit of Hiway 50) then over the next ridge and a ski out to Christmas valley.
I've climbed a local peak near Emerald Bay call Rubicon Peak about 5 times as well recently, twice in snow storms, once in powder. I started the season back on Oct 30th last year, skiing powder at Squaw with my daughter who works there and son-in-law, imagine that for an early start! Its been a great season despite the knee injury I sustained in late January now almost forgotten.

About the boat, yeah, it spent 5 or 6 years criscrossing the Pacific under more capable hands. That shot was taken in Bora Bora's lagoon a few years ago. Its diesel engine has a gas tank capacity of about 2300 nautical miles. Caliber, the maker calls it a 40LRC (40 foot Long Range Cruiser). Its a 2 bedroom/2 bath floating condo to me.
