Hi Vibaby: I believe based on their last quarterly report liquid cash is about 1 billion which is more than enough to keep things going for a few months. Also $350 million is targeted to the new facility construction in San Jose begining 1996 with final completion in 1998. You can review this thread and find out that Novell also has significant equity holdings which I update from time to time.

From my last accounting, Novell's liquid assets plus their real estate holdings (adjusted to market value) plus their equity investments (adjusted to market) come to somewhere around $5.50-$6.00 per share.

The other key indicator I use to measure the health of a company is the net free flow cash flow which still remains positive.
