This is a real tough period, because everybody has to be long something. We've all played something (in my case energy, PMs) on the long side, so that's the mind set. For my money, capital preservation is now is paramount though, because we may get a period where all longs go down. I've lightened up on gold, but if the specs get flushed out some more, I'd reenter that trade. I'd look to get some foreign currency exposure, SF and JY. In a deeper correction (200 ma) I'd use energy stocks again. Think energy the commodity is getting set up for a rally. Speculatively, I have some puts (which are generally cheap premiums) in the hopper to a fair degree.
