Wooo, they brought unemployment down to 10%! Wow. Most of that was the government employing people to do public works projects, an easy task. FDR and the Democrats were behind the largest tax increase in history which allowed them to hire those people, but the effects of tax increases have a 2 to 5 year lag and is likely the reason the economy went south after 1937.
