I knew a contractor who had 3 customers in another town 1.5 hours away. He would go with his crew and visit each spot for about 2 hours and then hit all three with the 3 hr travel time. After a couple of years of this some how the 3 found out and dumped his ass.

One time he did a job at the beach 3 hours away, when he got there he told the customer he forgot something at his shop. He charged the customer for the extra 6 hours travel time. That was his last job with that customer.

I sub a part of one of his jobs one time. after I billed him he said he forgot to mark my bid up so I had to lower my price. I told him that was his mistake not mine. I doubled my prices with him after that
