Note my post about high taxes being harmful was a response to the claim that tax cuts only benefited the rich. In that context its important to note that higher taxes cause general harm, so even if tax cuts really where just for the rich (starting from a framework where they pay higher rates) it would be false to say that tax cuts only benefited the rich. And of course the actual tax cuts we had where not just for the rich, but rather for pretty much all income tax payers.
