It is conservatism, not liberalism, that takes society seriously. Liberalism preaches confident social engineering by the regulatory state. Conservatism urges government humility in the face of society's creative complexity.

Thanks for bringing my attention to this. Yes, it is a great article - especially the last few paragraphs, starting with his comment about "members of liberal intelligentsia, that herd of independent minds".... LOL.

Nicely written. A lot said, in few words. Decided to keep it.
