In answering you question re: dual boot with LINUX and Windows...

You can dual boot both Windows and LINUX on the same PC. You don't do it because it is not a practical solution for any usage except maybe someone wants to learn LINUX. If you boot into Windows,,you use Windows..If you boot into LINUX,,you use LINUX. Both cannot be used simultaneously. No one wants to reboot the PC throughout the day to use LINUX or Windows. Something that would be nice is to have LINUX as an OS with a Windows desktop (looks like windows on the screen, but LINUX is the OS)and Windows applications (ie. Microsoft Office) can be run on a LINUX system. This is the whole point. The press release says Mainsoft has the source code for Windows 2000/NT in an agreement with Microsoft. That is a very valuable thing to have if someone wanted to develope Windows type applications for LINUX. It also brings to mind something else. Why would Microsoft want or give the ability to another company to develope Windows Apps. on a FREE OS (LINUX)? Wouldn't that appear to be a threat to Microsoft's business ? There is something going on here that is to big to ignore IMO.
