Good Jobs Report, unemployment rate fell!

This Chart of the US unemployment Rate signals the recession may be over!

# Today's job report showed the first decrease in the unemployment rate since April 2008.

# A one-month decline in the unemployment rate after a significant spike usually occurs slightly after recessions are already over.

# Given Q2-09 GDP came in at "only" a negative 1.0% and we know it was nasty in March, the first month of the quarter, one has to assume May was an up month for GDP to make the average only 1.0%.

# With the economy clearly improved now over May, we have to assume Q3-09 will show positive GDP growth.

#IF the recession is really over, as ECRI predicted would happen sometime this summer (see ECRI Predicts The End of the Recession is Imminent ) then people will feel better about investing in stocks which should push the markets higher.
