This country has a terrible racial history (as does much of the rest of the world). Race is going to come up. Sometimes it makes me cringe, but sometimes it's appropriate.

Everyone does these things when debating, particularly on the internet. Not just liberals.

I'm not even sure what these things mean.

Methinks you're just playing the victim here. Of course, at this point, that's about all the Republican Party really has to go on.
