I asked someone at Apple today if Rapsody (due out next month in developer's release) will run on Intel machines.

They said yes.

Is this correct?

If this is true, it seems that everyone will just run out and buy a inexpensive Pentium and load Rapsody. A lot of major vendors (Corel, CA, etc.) will have Rapsody based apps available for the January roll out.

If true, it's a great move for Apple market-wise. No hardeware needed! Just stick my CD in your existing PC and you got Apple OS.

I can see big troubles ahead for msft. Rapsody is not a UNIX wanna-be OS rewritten to support MSDOS with all its problems.
Rapsody is UNIX and most people in that world would be crazy to take NT when Rapsody is available.
