When the man was audited, he knew damned well he owed the taxes for the prior years and just didn't get caught. He also knew there was a 3-year statute on assessment and collection, so he played the waiting game.

It is crooked but I've seen it a thousand times.

If you get audited for two years and get hit on a item that you treated the same way in the PRIOR two years, you KNOW there is a problem. It isn't an "honest mistake" to not fix it. It is an "intentional cheat".

The Republicans ought to be ASHAMED for letting this guy get through. I know they may not be able to do much about it, but they could damned well be making some noise. It is disgraceful.
