That information was very useful, thank you. Intel's MMX unit is multi-pipeline, hmm. Kind of pointless though, as you say some (I would love to know how many) can not be executed in parrallel.

I also see why Intel had to add so many more transistors. Also, considering they are using their integer unit, I am completely confused, it makes no logical sense to use the integer unit. The floating point unit is much better suited to these kinds of instructions.
