I trade with a partner. He is the fundamentalist and I'm the technical analyst. We disagree about everything but still manage to find plenty of trades. Our live commentary He Said/She Said will be a great rumble. I agree that there is a lot of info to digest but it boils down to one thing, if you trade from the long side, it's got to go up and vice versa for short. That's why I don't bother with fundamentals at all. I'm a market psychologist, and the only thing I need to know is if there is a news release expected and when. What is in it, I don't care. I try to do my stuff before any possible halt or after, trading the reaction. TS is coming out with a new version in the summer, so I'd hold off. Isn't Supercharts a daily program? Does it do intraday? And yes, realtime quotes are an absolute requirement. It takes money to make money and I would never trade without my equipment. I trade S&P and T bond futures, and will play all stocks with 3 letters in the symbol. I don't trade Nasdaq anything or Canadian Dealer Network stocks because of the lack of a transparent market. I no longer trade options except the odd one on a particular stock. The VIX is too high to trade index options now, except with a fews days to expiration, but there is no sense in getting so burned out under heavy stress.
