Applied Innovation Inc. Announces Joint Development Agreement with Telesciences, Inc.

DUBLIN, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 2000--Applied Innovation Inc. AINN and Telesciences, Inc. today announced a joint development agreement under which Applied Innovation will leverage its established networking and connectivity capabilities with Telesciences' billing expertise to provide telecommunications' customers a total systems solutions for their billing needs.

The combined service will offer a complete single source for the collection, transport and processing of telephone switch billings records. This end-to-end IP billing management solution will allow customers to migrate from their legacy X.25 packet switch networks and utilize the flexibility, reliability and scalability of an IP based data communications network ("DCN"). This joint development will further extend Applied Innovation's range of telephone switch management and data communications offerings, thus enabling customers to respond aggressively to the rapid growth in demand for additional telephone switches driven by e-commerce and Internet data services.

Telesciences is one of the world's largest providers of billing record collections systems, collecting and processing over one billion event usage records per day for many of the world's leading telecommunications carriers, including several Regional Bell Operating Companies ("RBOCs") and major Competitive Local Exchange Carriers ("CLECs").
