who????? ...

<< So I don't like this recent change and suggest you change it back unless someone (who?????) really wants it. >>

Me! [and I'm sure I'm not alone although some may need time to let the new flexible layout and functionality grow on them. Such is the nature of change and modernization]

As Sr K pointed out just bookmark siliconinvestor.com (subjectmarksolder) and your problem and that of every bandwidth wasting moaner and groaner is solved relative to subjectmarks and logos. Bear in mind however as Dima continues to evolve SI features as he evolves the code base you are likely to miss out on some new features that just might appeal to you because classic is classic and should stay that way.

BTW: Initially I was somewhat doubtful that the new subjectmark layout would appeal to me. It is however very well implemented in it's initial cut. It also goes part way to satisfy a feature request I've made several times in the past under prior administrations. There is a change or two I will suggest to the implementation Dima has made but I'll likely wait a bit prior to posting that suggestion or request.

Two comments about logos:

• This is not the DOS age and in this GUI day and age I can't for the life of me imagine anyone scanning only text to click on a bookmarked or subjectmarked link. Forget us ancient Luddites, the expanded SI target audience demands clickable logos.Nuff said. Dima need not justify that to the chronic bandwidth wasting complainers that repetitively proclaim him unresponsive. He's responsive when responsiveness counts.

•I spend a fair amount of time on SI so both old and new SI links reside unobtrusively side by side in my 'bookmarks toolbars (image below cropped and enlarged from a portion of my actual view at my res) ...

Nice Work Dima! Keep it up.

Cheers,

- Eric L. -
