Mohan, Just found your message. If all you own is puts, then you won't get hurt too badly and may even make some money if the price of APM reverses itself. Anyway, GAAP does not allow assets to be overstated on the balance sheet. If equipment becomes obsolete in year 2, then it's written down in year 2. Doesn't matter that it was intended to last 10 years. Good luck to you. Out.
