CNBC was referring to an SEC inspection of one daytrading storefront shop where 67 out of 68 traders had lost money. It was not an overall statistic. Regardless, this is why I stick to position trading and only do day trades when I see a setup I really like. Even then I play very small amounts. More of a hobby while I watch the tape in other plays.
