Quit a bit, TBH. These include (randomly):

Methodical digital network buildout of licensed geography - Increased coverage - Incorporation of dual mode GSM-1900/AMPS 800 dual mode handsets featuring both GSM authentication and also the CAVE authentication mechanism that is used in CDMA & TDMA (first in world to do this in early 98) - Focus on wireless data - Solid International Roaming - Pioneer of OTA provisioning and subscription activation - Good shrink wrap marketing - Respected management -

Then:

Significant expansion of footprint by successful bidding in C-Block reauction of spectrum including licenses in 2 key markets (Chicago & Dallas) where GSM had no coverage - Spinoff from cellular parent Western Wireless and very successful IPO - Strong backing and line of credit from Hutchinson - Merger with Omnipoint (to be concluded end of year) - Rumors of more acquisitions to come (Ariel? & Powertel?) just rumors mind you - Potential to be acquired by or merged with Big Name Telecom Company here or in Europe - International Roaming with Internet functionality in modestly priced product offerings usable here or anywhere in the world - Great net subscriber growth with low churn - Significant events in the GSM NA community which I commented on in a post to another thread:

Both, and more, IMO. Wireless is hot (worldwide) obviously. Wireless data is really hot (worldwide) obviously. Merger & Acquisition is rampant. Rumors aboundeth.

As you know I am also long "Q" & I see no similar GSM plays (comparable to "Q") long haul (yet) but I have found GSM a fun way to "play" and make money short term.
