Just browsing the Oracle case study. I do suggest everyone re-read that case study. Oracle stock price dumped enough times for the author's to repeat at least twice during the case study that "again you scream for the gorilla game authors' heads, and this time you go as far as to buy a book on value investing!"

Buuuuuuuttttt, "after a few days...you cool down....{reassess the situation}....None of your earlier analysis has been shaken. All that has happened is that a fourth factor - the state of the overall economy - has entered the fray. So you ask yourself, are computers going out of fashion? {No!}. Then you {bide your time, and double down again when you feel comfortable}.

Ie, the economic recession is a buying opportunity not a selling opportunity. Page 205 of the Manual, last paragraph.

So, I must retract the corrollary that I created in one of my prior posts. A recessionary environment is included in the Manual. If all other analysis is correct, then wait until you feel comfortable again, step up to the mark "without telling your spouse (who no doubt is talking behind your back about your "investment theories)" and you double up your investment in the gorilla.

No, I don't think Moore ever envisioned a stock market crash like the one we just experienced. However, he did cover the steps to take during a normal recessionary environment. If Oracle is to be the guide, even through such catastrophees, the gorilla rewards the long-term investor handsomely.
