Everything falls, eventually. But do you think that realization made the people who fell to slavery or death at the hands of the Romans, Egyptians, etc, would find any comfort from that? Do you truly believe This evil wouldn't have turned into an empire? Hell, I think it would have become stronger after Hitler, his irrationality at the end helped in Germany's defeat. But if we hadn't done anything, it wouldn't have mattered one bit.
