I decided against MPC when you suggested looking at it in July at a price that was higher that today's. I didn't look at the company again, and wasn't aware of MPC when it hit lows.

I don't like stepping up for stocks in a volatile market, esp. when we might be due for some good down days next. I believe I see the company's potential, and I'm willing to buy MPC stock at today's price. Not many shares, but a few to get started with.

"...it's almost up 50% from it's low just a few weeks ago." There are a lot like that now. Which is maybe why I'm not noticing mentions here now of common stocks being purchased. Perhaps it is wiser to wait for drops or to just sell now into strength.

For a few stocks I'll step up. For a few shares.
