"Yes, I think that's it! I haven't been keeping up.." No problem. I am fully convinced that the LAMP(Linux Apache MySQL Programming language) stack is the future. So many business apps backend to a database, and all can and probably should be run across a network. So a web-centric approach makes a lot of sense. In addition, code generators have gotten to be actually useful. Try Rails sometime. Custom coding, even for small businesses, is viable again. Microsoft isn't dead yet. But it sure is breathing funny...
