Great moments in liberal delusion and fiction.

I know you listen to NPR on occasion. I've been driving my wife's car lately, which has no satellite radio. Been listening to NPR while in the car.

Tonight on "On Point," one of the more liberal leaning shows, a segment featured a guy who was discussing Obama and compromise. He painted Obama as a compromiser who has been thwarted at every turn by the evil Republicans. Good thing I wasn't taking a sip of a drink when I heard the following: This guy said that 60-70 percent of the people out there support Obama's economic policies!!! Yet it is the Republicans who are thwarting those policies and there is a huge disconnect between the overwhelming public support and the refusal of the Congress to go along. Not sure what surveys this guy has been looking at, but boy is he off base.

In another segment on the same show, there was a guy from the Village Voice who was dismayed about Republican efforts to require ID to vote. He contends there is no problem with voter fraud in this country and voter ID laws disenfranchise democratic constituencies. Oh, how difficult it is for students to vote, because student ID's are not accepted as ID (and why should they be? they aren't government issued). Most students I have ever encountered all seem to have driver's licenses, if not passports or other forms of ID.

The liberal mindset is truly something to witness and Peoples Radio is a pretty good window into that mindset.
