Back in June I looked at Apple and I didn't liked what I saw. Motorola switching to Wintel was as bad news as I can think of. At around the same time Larry Ellison passed on buying Apple and Steve Jobs sold his shares in Apple.

This was consistent with my analysis, so I set an entry price of $11.

A few weeks after that Amelio was ousted and it became apparent that the board was to follow. This was good news and I posted that Apple had reached bottom.

What I haven't been able to figure out just yet is why the Arabian prince and the Mexican Carso group bought several million shares. Allegedly, these investors are the kind who usually act on insider tips derived from their prominent political positions.

This leads me to believe that they had some good information about why Apple was a *sure* turnaround play. Thus far only the Microsoft investment seems to be big enough for these guys to have acted on. Could they have known about these pending negotiations. I doubt it. Is there anything else in the works? I think so....

Any ideas?
