Nick Berg was taking taxis all around Baghdad, allegedly looking for work on communications towers, but he did not speak Arabic, and he did not have any tools or equipment with him. That's what the news reports say.

In other words, he was acting very strange -- just walking around in a war zone claiming to be looking for work.

He's an American, and the other Americans are going around with guards and translators because they're the enemy.

What would be the parallel with your war - not as bad as walking around Hanoi, but worse than Saigon because it's full of hostiles. East Compton, the Bronx. He's in the wrong neighborhood. And he attracted the wrong attention.

No surprise there, is there?
