Signage and Display Division Expands
Vancouver, BC, May 4, 1998 - International Thunderbird Gaming Corporation (TSE & VSE - INB) is pleased to announce that Calsino Inc., its signage and display subsidiary, successfully completed the renovations for Thunderbird's Casino Merengue in Aruba; secured a US$750,000 signage and design contract for a casino in Idaho; and hired a key, commercial sign sales executive to lead domestic sales.
Calsino completed the renovations of the Aruba Palm Beach Casino, located in the Caribbean, which recently unveiled its new name, "Casino Merengue", and image. Calsino applied its innovative design and manufacturing capabilities to create a truly "Caribbean" gaming atmosphere by building out and renovating Thunderbird's first casino. Casino Merengue showcases the signage division's talents and work to the Aruba and Caribbean markets.
Calsino was also awarded a casino signage contract, worth over US$750,000, by a Native American Tribe which owns and operates a casino in Idaho. Calsino will apply its trade to re-design the theme of the casino.
Calsino initially began as a design and signage supplier to the native gaming market and has expanded into commercial signage. To assist with this expansion, Mr. Scott Schultz has joined the Company to lead the national sales team in commercial signage sales. For many years Mr. Schultz was instrumental in increasing sales for a mid western US sign company and he will now focus on securing national "multiple location" accounts for Calsino.
Calsino Inc. looks forward to expanding its design services and signage products nationally and in the Central American and Caribbean gaming markets.
