Cliff S&R=Support and Resistance: Support levels are previous price points which held when the stock tried to go down and resistance is a previous price point which a stock could not pierce up through. Once a stock enters into new highs there is no resistance level above it for resistance and support are determined based upon historic prices. A good book on TA usually explains support and resistance quite thoroughly. Many believe that use of trend lines and support and resistance levels are keys to price analysis. yt andy
