Vote now for Arvinas, NanoViricides as 'Buzz of BIO'!
  NEWS ALERT
Vote now for Arvinas, NanoViricides as 'Buzz of BIO'! Members of BIO are voting through Monday, April 21 for their favorite up-and-coming biotechs. The winner of the 'Buzz of BIO' poll will be showcased at the upcoming BIO national convention June 15-19 in Philadelphia. Connecticut's Arvinas and NanoViricides have been nominated for this contest, and you can vote for them now through 5 pm April 21 by clicking on the link below. You can vote for both because they are in different categories.
Arvinas is commercializing a unique technology to specifically degrade cellular proteins. Bifunctional small molecules that simultaneously bind to the target protein and an E3 ubiquitin ligase lead to ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of the protein, greatly increasing “druggable” targets. Three reasons to vote for Arvinas: 1. Completely new paradigm for drug action. 2. Ability to reduce levels of most proteins, including currently "undruggable" targets. 3. Great story of cooperation between academia, the bioscience business community, VCs and the state.
Nanoviricides has developed a novel nanotechnology-based platform technology that enables it to rapidly create drugs to destroy viruses and accomplish this in the space of weeks rather than years. Three reasons to vote for NanoViricides: 1. Novel technology 2. Ability to manufacture novel drugs in commercial quantities 3. Ability to respond to the threat of a novel virus in a short period of time
To vote, go to the link below and look in the upper right corner of the page. From the drop-down menu Pipelines of Promise choose Arvinas, and from the drop-down menu Technologies of Tomorrow choose NanoViricides.
cast your vote now You can vote several times, but only once per day. And anyone with e-mail can vote, so spread the word. Good luck, Arvinas andNanoViricides!
