I cannot blame you for proceeding slowly on implementing 2008. The additional features and better tools make the move almost compulsory. To date I do not believe that there are 2008 MMC plugins for XP. This implies that the administrator must be running 2008 or Vista to administer the domain.

We always avoid the bleeding edge -- sometimes to an extreme. We still haven't installed our first VISTA system for a customer (although we have one around here for testing).

I'm just not into needless upgrades. But from what I've read, the Server 2008 is quite a bit faster and as you say, has new functionality.

I'm going to have to break down and buy one and give it a shot I guess.
