RE: Retail Zip Unit Sales Decrease?

Brendan,

>> It sounds to me like IOM sold 7.6% fewer retail Zips than December 96. hmmmmmmm <<

According to my calculations, retail Zip units increased about 80% from 4Q96 to 4Q97.

I'm not sure what those numbers are that Druid posted (which included the -7.6% December figure). I need to look at the article closer.

>> OEM sales are way up at least, sequentially and year to year. <<<

Yes, up 55% sequentially and about 900% year to year.

I'm working on a spreadsheet that breaks out quarterly zip retail and OEM unit sales. All of the calculations in it are based on the "X% sequential unit growth, X% OEM units, X% sequential OEM growth" type numbers that Iomega has been giving in their past three conference calls. I'll post the spreadsheet here when I'm done.
