Nobody stated the stock had a chance to go to $60 in a year. Some rough calculations have been done on transforming the manufacturing line capacity into potential earnings. Wolanchuk said $40-$50 in, I believe, 2-3 years.

Valence does have a compelling story right now. They're on the verge of production for the first time (in the head of the pack that you described). The company has released no production or contract news and is yet at a 52 week high, with a good breakout.

We welcome all comments and observations. Your's helps lend ojectivity. The lack of contract news may be because of requested confidentiality between VLNC and an OEM(s). Ultralife has announced contracts with a cell phone mfr and a notebook mfr but has withheld the names due to their request. VLNC may be doing their potential OEM(s) one better by not even announcing the existance of pending deals. There will be competitive advantage to an OEM by getting the differentiation that is so hard to get in these products these days. Remember the big news that nickle metal hydride and lithium ion first caused when they were incorporated into consumer products. Everybody and their little sister has heard these abstract chemical words because the OEM(s) use them heavily in their advertising.
